Left clicking on a tile will remove it from the board, a new tile will drop down to replace it. You do not get any points for destroying a single tile and it takes just over a second to destroy. If there is an identical tile adjacent to the one you decide to destroy, both will be destroyed instantly. You can get a combo of as many tiles as you like in a single click.
